Collect the correct account details first

TiviMate needs the connection details supplied with your live-TV account. Keep the welcome message or client-area details open on a second device so you can enter the server address, username and password without switching away from the television.

Use the exact connection method shown in your account instructions. Do not substitute credentials from an Emby or Jellyfin plan because those services use different apps and server details.

  • Install TiviMate from the trusted store for your television device
  • Check for spaces added before or after copied credentials
  • Enter the complete server address, including the supplied protocol
  • Keep account details private and out of screenshots shared publicly

Add the playlist and wait for the first sync

Open the playlist setup flow and choose the connection type specified in your welcome details. Enter the supplied values, give the playlist a recognizable name and allow the first channel and program-guide sync to finish.

The first load can take longer than later refreshes because the app is creating its local channel and guide database. Avoid repeatedly closing the app during this step.

Organize channels for everyday use

After the playlist loads, confirm that channel groups and the electronic program guide are visible. Add frequently watched channels to favorites and hide groups you never use. A smaller working view makes navigation faster without changing the underlying playlist.

  • Create a short favorites list before reorganizing every group
  • Confirm the guide time matches the device time zone
  • Keep sports and event groups visible if schedules change often
  • Refresh the playlist before reporting a recently changed channel

Start with conservative playback settings

Use the default player and buffer settings for the first test. Change one option at a time only when a repeatable problem appears. Switching several decoders, buffers and network settings together makes it difficult to identify which change helped.

Test both a normal HD channel and a higher-bitrate channel. If only the higher-bitrate feed struggles, compare Ethernet or stable 5 GHz/6 GHz Wi-Fi before changing account settings.

Troubleshoot sign-in and guide problems

If the playlist will not load, re-enter the values manually and confirm that the live-TV service is active. If channels load but guide data is empty, refresh the EPG and verify the device date, time and time zone. Restart the app after correcting account details.

  • Test the same account on one other supported device
  • Restart the router and playback device before repeating the setup
  • Avoid repeated password guesses that may trigger a temporary lock
  • Send support the app version, device model and exact error message

Protect the working configuration

Once playback and the guide work, keep a private record of the playlist name and non-secret settings. Sign out before selling or giving away a device. Never post playlist addresses, usernames or passwords in public forums, screenshots or app reviews.
